Dragon's Crescent

Dragon's Crescent

Dragon's Crescent is worked from the bottom up. It begins with a picot cast on, and it starts with a rather long CO, 463 sts, but the rows get shorter as you progress in the simple lace pattern. Once the lace is complete you proceed to garter short rows, which goes really quickly. This is the perfect pattern for a gradient yarn like Knit Circus Opluence in the 150 g skein. You can also use multiple colors of fingering weight yarn, or just one solid/semi solid. You will need most of 660 yards.

Dragon's Crescent is inspired by Dragon's Milk by New Holland Brewing in Holland Michigan. Dragon's Milk is a milk stout which is aged in a bourbon barrel. It is a beer made for sipping which is also a good way to work on the Dragon's Crescent. The shawl ends spiral which really looks like the head of a dragon!
